Splendor X Laser Hair Removal

  • Ideal for all skin types
  • Faster & fewer sessions
  • Long lasting results
  • Comfortable treatments

What makes it special?

Hair removal can be painful, messy and ineffective. But SPLENDOR X laser hair removal with BLEND X technology is different. It combines Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths for a perfectly tailored treatment that is fast, effective and comfortable. It also features a unique square-shaped laser spot that safely covers every single inch of skin being treated. Ideal for all skin types.

  • Sessions are faster and fewer
  • Long lasting results

What this means for you?

A large square shape spot size helps the practitioner line up the treatment areas on your body. You do not have to worry about spots missed this way. And the Dual Cooling System (DCS) combines cooled air and a cooled tip to protect your skin and ensure a very comfortable treatment.

Is it right for me?

SPLENDOR X is suitable for men and women, all skin tones – even tanned skin – and for all body areas and types of hair. However, laser hair removal may not be right for everyone and does carry some risks. During your first consultation, Aislings aesthetic professionals will be able to help you decide if this treatment system is right for you and number of sessions required for hair-free skin.

What can I expect after treatment?

How the area will look right after treatment varies from person to person. You may have some redness and swelling around hair follicles straight after. In the following weeks you will notice less hair growth as you progress through the course of your treatments. At the end of your first session you will receive aftercare guidelines, especially pertaining to sun protection.

When will I see results?

Thanks to BLEND X technology, you should need fewer sessions than with a treatment using just a single laser wavelength. It blends two laser wavelengths to harness their power and unique properties – and achieve better results. Also, a single laser may not be suitable for everyone. Lasers are effective when hair is at an early growth stage. Because not all hairs will be at the same stage at the same time, you’ll need multiple treatments to remove the unwanted hair. Our aesthetic professionals will advise you on the number required.

FAQ

How does Laser Hair Removal work?

Our medical grade lasers send targeted bursts of light energy to the treatment area, which is then absorbed by hair-filled follicles. Melanin in each hair absorbs the light and turns it to heat energy. This damages the hair follicle and prevents re-growth.

Because lasers work by targeting melanin (the colour in hair) this treatment is unsuitable for those with white hair, certain types of red hair and is less successful for grey and very fair types. Our aesthetic professionals will advise of other hair removal options for these types of hair.

Can all hair be treated?

Treatments are customised according to hair colour, texture and location. Any hair with at least some pigment can be treated.

White, white blonde, white/grey hairs and certain red hair types do not generally respond to treatment with laser.

How many treatments do I need?

This depends on the density of your hair, skin type and natural hair colour and the location of hair on your body. We recommend a course of six which is generally sufficient. If you have a darker skin type, particularly resistant hairs, or medical conditions such as PCOS you will need more.

How long does treatment take?

Each treatment can take anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the size of area being treated.

The number of treatments you will need depends on your hair thickness, hair density and skin type. Several treatments are necessary to achieve the best results.

It is important to understand that hairs in an active growth phase are most affected by treatments. Since all hairs are not in this phase at the same time, several treatments are necessary to achieve the best results. Your practitioner will design a treatment plan for you, including an estimate of how many sessions you will need to get the results you desire.

Is hair removed permanently?

Our medical-grade laser damages the root of the hair to significantly impede re-growth. Most of the roots do not re-grow but occasionally some do.

In addition, new hairs from previously empty follicles are developing all the time – this means it is usually necessary to have an annual ‘maintenance’ treatment to keep hair free.

Will it hurt?

Splendor X  produces a rapid pinprick sensation which is reduced by the in-treatment cooling system.

What happens after treatment?

After a Splendor X laser hair removal treatment, hairs will fall out for up to 14 days. Your skin may be a little red immediately after treatment, but this will calm down quickly and you will able to return to your normal daily routine.

Are there any side effects?

Immediately after treatment, the appearance of the treated area will vary depending on the extent of the procedure and your skin type. Side effects, if any, are usually minor. There may be some redness and swelling around the treated hair follicles; this is a desired clinical result indicating that the follicle has responded to treatment. This reaction typically disappears within hours.

Most people return to normal activity right away. On rare occasions, some blistering may occur, but this typically resolves quickly. Your skin can become darker or lighter following treatment, but will generally return to normal within a few weeks. Limiting sun exposure before and after each treatment will minimise the risk of complications.

How do I get the best results?

Most patients are thrilled after their initial few treatments but can become impatient as treatment progresses. It is important to remember the hair growth cycle is the reason that treatment takes weeks to complete.

By following our care instructions given, you will get great results without complications.

Would there be any reason that I couldn't have treatment?
